Hey there. Glad you stopped by for a visit.
This site is brand new, and it’s been created as a result of knowing there are lots of us out there who are not comfortable with networking… but who have to bite the bullet and and do it if we want to avoid having a job asking “do you want fries with that?”

Yeah, me too. I’ve always been uncomfortable with networking — it’s always seemed a little icky – but it’s something I’ve had to learn to do. Sometimes it’s been very hard, embarrassing… but you know.
The amazing thing is I run into people who are really, really good at networking. And who have built businesses that function almost entirely on their network of contacts.
These people never have to cold call. They always have plenty of referrals. Their businesses are doing well. Amazingly well.
And you know what? Some of these folks aren’t any more naturally comfortable with networking than you or me. The difference is they’ve just learned what, why, and how to network… and viola, they do it.
So the focus of this blog is to help you hear from people who are just regular folks like us and who have learned how to be great at networking. We’ll hang out here, ask questions, and hang out on twitter (I’m @lizziemcg) and facebook (we have an Authentic Networking In Business Page).

PS: You know what else? Now that I’ve been hanging out with these people who know how to network, my own business has taken off. Now I find myself actually with a waiting list for coaching clients. It’s cool, and fun, and I actually now get to sometimes say “no” and not have to worry about what my accountant might think.
